Some post rock for your mid-morning! This came on Pandora just now and I figured y'all might enjoy it, too. Song is "Loft" by Caspian off their album "You Are the Conductor."

I think what sabotaged you was the https. If you make sure to enter your links in the html mode with simple http, it works. I have to use the html mode in the desktop editor to post links at work, because (plot twist) youtube is blocked, requiring me to google videos, copy/paste the URL, and add the "http" by hand in the html mode, then going back to the normal editor for it to automate the embedding, because youtube links without the http:// confuse the shit out of Kinja. It pretends to embed in preview, then fails when you actually post.

Thank you! I can't even access the HTML mode from my phone, but based on your advice, I went back to YouTube and got the share link versus just copy pasta-ing the URL from the address bar. That worked like a charm! You're right... It was the https that was making things wonky. ^_^

Kinja is a dumbass, but pales in comparison to the part where I can't actually use youtube at work, only embed it in Kinja posts for other people to watch because I is so clevar. HURR
So far, it's a choice between "doing something irritating" and "procrastinate about doing something irritating" at work. It's a standoff.
